Toy / Tech is a unique resource and lending library for ch
ildren with all types of disabilities ages birth to thirteen years and their siblings and parents. Toy / Tech is equipped with trained individuals who can evaluate a child's need and teach parents how to use specialized and adapted toys effectively to help their children develop. The purpose of Toy / Tech is to make accessible toys that have been specifically selected or adapted to meet the unique needs of children with any type of developmental delay or disability so they can benefit from the enrichment of play.

Assistive Technology Evaluations

Easter Seals Greater Houston's Children's Therapy and BridgingApps programs are now offering comprehensive Assistive Technology Evaluations. Assistive Technology is an item, piece of equipment, software or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. Assisitive Technology can be anything from low tech communication boards, to high tech communication devices iPads, or switches.

 Gymboree play groups incorporate engaging activities such as music, bubbles and parachute play to build cognitive, social and physical skills. Pet Therapy

 Pet Therapy uses dogs specifically trained to work with individuals with disabilities. Groom, walk or play fetch with these amazing dogs! It is help the second Monday of every month in Houston from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Pet Therapy is by appointment only.

BridgingApps (formerly SNApps4Kids)

BridgingApps is community of parents, therapists, doctors, and teachers who share information on how they are using the iPad, iPhone, and similar devices with people who have disabilities. The program's mission is to bridge the gap between technology and people with disabilities.

BridgingApps is an online community where parents and families can discuss application technology.  Components of the online forum include app lists, practical how-to's, success stories, community feedback, and a review system that identifies skills embedded in particular apps.
